A Birthday Blog
My Mom’s birthday was yesterday and one of the presents that I gave her was a weblog. I’ve never given a blog as a gift before, but it seemed something that she could really use. IMHO she has always been a repressed writer and I thought having a weblog would help set the writer in her free. So often sitting in front of a blank page can be the biggest hurdle. Thinking that you have to write a novel, or a profound work is daunting, but sitting down to jot down a little tidbit is a lot easier. So, I’m hoping that she finds as much enjoyment out of it as I have these past few months.
If you have a few minutes, be sure to stop by and say hello. Even if you haven’t met her, I’m sure my Mom would get a kick out of knowing that she already has visitors.

This past Saturday, May 17th, was my 9th wedding anniversary. As I sit here and type this entry, I find it incredulous that we’ve been married 9 years already. The time has just flown by and I have a hard time fathoming that we’ve been together that long. Well, to be honest, if you count when we started dating, we’ve been together 15 years. We dated for 6 years and were engaged for 2 of those years. I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun.
