Drool…
The images above are examples of the name tags that were used at the last Facebook Developer Conference. The design completely blows me away. All I can do is sit and drool looking at these incredible name tags. If you want more, I suggest you check out the Fonts In Use article since they have better command of the English language than I do at the moment.

Why I Love Louis C.K
This is a segment of the last routine I saw by Louis C.K., I forget what the tour was called, but it’s a perfect example of just how damn funny this guy is.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day
Thanks to a re-tweet from @brittneyg, I came across this image of Ireland taken from space on a near cloudless day.
There’s plenty of interesting tidbits on the resulting landing page mostly related to weather. What I found most interesting was that the photo was taken 3 days before I landed in Ireland for vacation last year.
Anyway, happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!
I came across this image yesterday when I was exploring Ffffound! and would love to purchase this flag. Given that I run a media streaming business, I think some high-quality footage of this flag blowing in the wind would be great for demos and “technical difficulty” messaging.
If anyone has a suggestion of where I can find such a flag, please let me know.
CalendarBar
I love the design of this app. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really fit into my workflow. I’m currently using GeekTool and iCalBuddy to display my calendar directly on my desktop, so this app is a bit redundant for me.
I do wish I could figure out a way to style the iCalBuddy display to mimic this though because it’s a fantastic design.
Getting Back To Blogging
The other day I noticed a bit of a gap in my daily process of information. I have Pinboard for capturing links, InstaPaper for saving longer articles for reading later, but there are a bunch of odd-and-ends that don’t get captured. Most of these tend to be photos and although I could bookmark them, links change and those images could get lost, so I was looking at different ways that I could capture these images.
FFFFound.com looked like the ticket, but you have to be invited to participate and even then it looked like a bit of a pile. Then I figured that Tumblr might just be the ticket. I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about the service and how easy it is, so I figured I’d give it a whirl.
Suffice to say that I wasn’t all that impressed. Granted, I’m a bit old school and tend to post everything in HTML anyway, most of the bells and whistles of posting photos, etc. where kind of meh. I loved the way the blog looked, but being unable to post because of a service outage was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Besides, what I discovered was that posting to Tumblr was no different than posting to my blog — so why not just do that?!?
So, I swept up some of the dust and cobwebs, switched the theme to Modernist 2.0 and plan to move the two posts I did on Tumblr over to mashby.com

My View This Morning
After having all the snow melt over the past week, we were treated to a nice light snowfall yesterday afternoon and evening. Looking out my bathroom window this morning, this is the view that was waiting for me.
Oh My Stars…
This really takes me back to my heydays with my lust for Palm and all things clear. And the fact that all it takes is patience and paint thinner is driving me nuts. I can’t tell you how badly I want to run to Home Depot right now.
Aram Bedrosian – A Dark Light
I thought I had blogged this back in August, but apparently I have not. Want to play it on endless loop at work today, I decided I should embed it in a blog post.
Aram Bedrosian is a bass soloist and this song is called “A Dark Light”. My hope is that he will release it on an upcoming album, because I would LOVE to buy it. I typically play it over-and-over in a loop because I love it so much. I hope you do too.
