Isn't This Cool?!When I was designing and building this weblog, one of the things that caught my eye were some small images, or buttons that I saw here and there on other people’s web sites. Thanks to a link on Mike Rohde’s Weblog I found a repository of all the buttons that I become so fond of. George Taylor McKnight has put together a site called Steal These Buttons where you can find buttons similar to what I’ve used at the bottom of my navigational bar.

There are buttons for just about everything you can think of, but in the off chance you don’t find a button that meets your needs, there’s another resource that is very cool. Kalsey Consulting has created an online button maker that allows you to create a button with any text and in any color. You don’t need any graphic tools, or anything – just input the text and click the submit button. I can’t think of many things that are easier than that. It may just be a small thing, but I think this is ultra cool.

I used the Button Maker to create new buttons for my news feeds. Instead of just offering the main feed in 3 different formats, I chose to support the .xml RSS 9.01 format since it seems to be the most popular and add it for all five weblogs found on this site: Main, Photos edit: removed, Photolog, Travelogue edit: removed, and Workout edit: removed. So, if you’re into newsfeeds, you now have five feeds that you can add to your news aggregator.
