At lunch today I came across an ad on the television. The sound was off, so I couldn’t hear what was being said. All I could see was Edie Falco, of The Sopranos fame with the URL mob.org at the bottom of the screen. “Edie Falco is the spokeswoman for the MOB?” I thought to myself. I had to wait till the end of the commercial to see that mob.org stands for Mothers Opposing Bush.
Of course I’m sure that the organization chose Edie for the humor of it. I’m not sure I would remember the organization otherwise. If that was indeed the case then not only did I have a good laugh, but it was effective. LOL
