PalmSource Mobile Summit And DevConIn a few hours, I’m off to board a Southwest flight to San Jose for the PalmSource Mobile Summit & DevCon. It doesn’t start until Monday evening, but Holly and I are going to take a couple of days before and after the show for some quality time for ourselves. So I won’t be back in Nashville until the 31st.

Normally we take our vacation around our anniversary, but with the way the conference, as well as the date of our anniversary, fell this year it just didn’t work out. So we figured we’d delay it a few days and combine it with the DevCon.

I have to admit, Holly’s being a real sport about it because I don’t think a developer’s conference is all that romantic. Her allowing me to enjoy the conference in the middle of our “vacation” shows just what a great sport she is. I’ll try and include her in everything I can, but there’s just so much geek talk one person can take.

For me, it’s the one time of the year where I’m completely surrounded by people who share the same passion about Palm OS as I do. It’s fantastic! I learn so much every year and this year’s conference is looking to be really good schedule wise. I’ll be involved with the Palm OS User Council, but I’ll also be busy with the Computer Outlook Radio Show, we’ll be broadcasting live every day from the conference floor and recording other shows as well.

As if that’s not enough, I’m going to try my hand at doing a little blogging as well, although not so much here. I have another weblog at the Nashville PUG site that I’m going to post to called the Director’s Log. That’s where I’ll be posting information about the DevCon and my travels getting to and for. To be honest, I don’t know exactly what I’ll be posting, but it should be fun.

So, if you’re looking for content here for the next 10-days you probably won’t be finding much. However, be sure to check out the Director’s Log in the meantime. 😀
