Hard to believe that something this cool and hip would come from the über-advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi and not some young urban gurerilla marketing upstart, but it seems that Saatchi & Saatchi is doing a unique ad campaign with Folgers.
The campaign involves printing images of large cups of coffee onto vinyl and then applying them to steaming man hole covers in New York City. Holes in the vinyl allow the steam to flow through the image and the result is what appears to be a piping hot cup of coffee with steam flowing from it.
Very clever and very cool. Too bad that it’s for junk coffee like Folgers and not something more delicious like Peets. 😛 You can find all the details and images at this link.
